Day 1!



This is day one, folks!

The HMR healthy solutions diet requires that I have a minimum of three shakes, two entrees, and five servings of fruit and vegetables. HMR has this crazy "More is better!" mantra, where if we want more food, we have it. I don't understand it, either. But, they're the experts, so I'll trust 'em! My health educator had our group separate our meals into breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. Here's how I organized it today:

Breakfast: Two 120 chocolate shakes with 2 bananas

Snack: One medium gala apple

Lunch: Savory Chicken HMR entree

Snack: One 120 chocolate Shake with an added orange! and Peanut butter benefit bar

Dinner: Beef Stew with Vegetables HMR entree with baked potato and cauliflower

Snack: 1 cup roasted chick peas (recipe thanks to http://bethanyactually.com/yummy-and-healthy-roasted-chickpea-snacks/ ), Vanilla 120 shake with pumpkin pie spice

Our Health educator (HE) gave us an assignment to add one extra shake to our meal quota. Holy Lord. So much food. I made a shake from the recipe book, a pumpkin pie shake! Deeeeeeelightful.

Also brought a benfit bar into the movies with me, so that I wouldn't be tempted to eat candy.
