Had a scare today. HE called and asked how I was doing, because I'd "only lost one and a half pounds this week." I told her that I remembered losing 8 pounds. I know now, in my rational state of mind, that the call in tears to my parents shouldn't have happened, but that's just how I react to everything. It turns out that my HE read the chart wrong, and I actually DID loose 8 pounds. I got her first call right before I went to work out, so it just made me work out harder, which I am thankful for. Our PA assignment for this week was to try something completely different. I hadn't swam in a really long time, so I figured that that would be good. MY GOD, swimming is hard! No wonder swimmers are so fit! I stayed in the pool for twenty minutes, swimming or moving constantly. That's all I could do! Anyway, food today!:
Breakfast: HMR 120 Vanilla shake doubled
Snack: one HUGE grapefruit (aren't they all?)
Lunch: Chicken Pasta Parmesan Entree on top of two cups of steamed vegetables (didn't eat all of the vegetables, realized sorta late in the game that they were mildly teriyaki seasoned. Oops?)
Snack: Bar!
Dinner: Barbecue Chicken Entree with an ear of corn and oven baked potato fries (no oil, just salt, pepper, and trusty ol' PAM)

Day 7
Oops. Didn't post yesterday. You know why that's okay? No readers so far! I will persevere in any case.
FOOD TODAY!:
Breakfast: 2 Vanilla Shakes
Snack!: Banana
Lunch: Savory Chicken Entree with half of a HUGE baked potato
Dinner: Ravioli entree with a mixed fruit bowl of strawberries and pineapple.
Snack: 70+ vanilla pudding, grapefruit, banana
Today was evidently a fruit day... ate only one vegetable. I wonder if the balance matters at all...
Also, big question. Popcorn. If I pop it myself with PAM (which, supposedly, we're allowed to have) and corn kernels, can I have that?

Day Cinco
Today was a fabulous day! Went to picnic with my besties who are, luckily, vegetarians. So, the whole "eating five servings of fruit and vegetables" thing wasn't really a problem. I'm not quite sure if I had the three servings that I estimated (who brings measuring cups to a picnic?), but I'll take my chances. After the picnic, drove to my weekly HMR meeting, got on the scale, and found out that I'd lost 8 pounds! I know it's just the initial weight falling of, but 8 pounds is 8 pounds!
Here's the food for today:
Breakfast: Double chocolate shake
Lunch: POUNDS of strawberries, blueberries, grapefruit, grapes, edamame, AND the cheese and basil ravioli HMR entree
Snack: Peanut Butter Benefit bar at meeting
Dinner: 5 Bean HMR entree
Desert: 70+ chocolate shake, made into a pudding (MY GOD, SO GOOD.)

Daaaaaaaaaay 4!
Another work day! Makin' that money! There's always free food in the break room at work, since they sometimes make it for demonstrations. Today, unfortunately there was fresh churned butter to put on top of crackers, soup beans, homemade ice cream, and dutch apple cobbler. If I had will power, do you think that I'd look like this?! Well, I've got a little bit, evidently, because I stayed away from all of it. Granted, I had to scarf down my lunch, and get out of there before John heated up another piece in the microwave, but we'll just leave that part out and pretend that I am a saint who is tempted by nothing. My food (regrettably) for today is:
Breakfast: Vanilla Shake with the new hot cereal and splenda (cereal is good, but kinda blah, so I added splenda)
Lunch: HMR lasagna with a cup of sweet snap peas, and an orange (They always make your hands smell awesome!)
Dinner: HMR Chili on top of a HUGE potato and enough corn to feed a small army
Snack: "Fruit Cobbler" recipe from the HMR booklet that invovled softened apples, blueberries, and a Honey Graham benefit bar.
Forgot to get the last shake in today. Oops. Gotta remember those! Meeting tomorrow! Yay!

Day three
Work today provided a kink in my snacking between every meal. I do get a wicked long lunch break, though, so that's great. I did get up in time to eat breakfast. I figured I'd give myself two hours before I had to sing to get the milky texture of the shake out of my throat. It worked, so hooray! Food today is as follows:
Breakfast: Double Chocolate 120 shake
Snack: None :(
Lunch: Mushroom Risotto HMR entree with an orange
Snack: HMR Chocolate benefit bar
Dinner: Burrito HMR Entree! Two servings of sweet corn, one serving of grapes
Snack: Vanilla 120 shake and blueberry benefit bar

Day 2!!
Welcome to day two! Day one was a day of mainly me at home. Today I was out and about to meeting people, so made sure to bring an entree with me. It was a more typical day for me, running around, doing things, so I learned how to deal with that. Food today was as follows:
Breakfast: Vanilla shake with sugar-free raspberry jello powder and a banana
Snack: 1 cup blackberries and 1 cup strawberries
Lunch: Chicken Pasta Parmesan HMR entree with re-fried beans* and tomatoes and salsa.
Snack: None. :(
Dinner: Barbecue chicken, rice, and beans HMR entree with a can of sweet peas
Snack: "Hot Dutch Chocolate" HMR shake rendition
*The re-fried beans. I wasn't so sure about, but I ate anyway. The can said that it was just beans, salt, and onion powder. All of which I'm allowed to have. I only ate a little, maybe half a cup. I was at a friend's house, and her house isn't exactly HMR friendly (I'm definitely glad I threw an entree in the car), and they were eating re-fried beans. I hope they're "in the box" or whatever. I'll definitely make sure to ask my HE on meeting on Monday.

Willkommen! Dieses ist mein... Blog?
There's something wrong when both of your best friend's parents have blogs and you don't. I've never really had a desire to start a blog until today. After an exhaustive search of the internet (Thanks Google!) for blogs and websites of dieters under forty, I decided to start my own. Today is the first day of HMR ( http://www.hmrprogram.com/ ). Well, it's not the first day EVER. I did it for maybe a week once when I was fourteen. However, can anybody really be held accountable for things they did when they were fourteen? Anyway, I wanted to track my progress through a blog. This, I feel, can keep me honest, even if no one reads it.
